Submissions to  present academic papers by college students, graduate students, faculty, and community members for the Harry Potter Academic Conference 2019 are currently being accepted. (The deadline for submission is September 20; see later deadline for High School Papers below). Please prepare a title and abstract (200 - 400 words) summarizing your paper. Because of the interdisciplinary nature of the conference, presentations vary according to discipline. Presenters may read their paper and/or present a powerpoint presentation. The presentation time is typically 20 minutes, though longer time slots may be available depending on the proposal. Please indicate in your abstract if you plan on following a different model (for example, a panel discussion) of if your presentation requires a longer time slot. 


High school students are encouraged to submit papers for the special High School section to be held on Saturday October 19. The deadline for submission is October 7. (Papers from High School students will be considered for an essay contest with various awards.)

Submissions will be handled using the Easy Chair submission platform. Review the instructions in the "EasyChair Submission Guidelines" file below. **High school students are asked to submit their complete papers to be considered for the essay contest - no abstract is needed.
