The Harry Potter Conference was first held in October 2012 to provide an academic outlet for a serious - but always enjoyable - study of the themes in the Harry Potter series. Since then, the conference has grown in size and scope, expanding the boundaries of “a traditional academic conference” to create a safe, inclusive space for lively discussion and criticism of the long-term impact of Rowling’s literature. All are welcome.
The Harry Potter Conference is a non-profit annual academic conference hosted by Chestnut Hill College (Philadelphia, PA). This interdisciplinary conference provides a forum for scholarly presentations arising out of J.K. Rowling's literature. Conference registration is open to the public. The 2022 Conference is in-person, with an online live streaming option.
Conference registration is open to all interested attendees. A $15 donation to HPAC at CHC is required to support the administration of this non-profit event. (This donation is waived for high school student presenters.) Please click below to register.
